Books & Babies for Walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community.

This program is for babies up to 18 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 25-30 minutes.

One-Hit Wonders Summer Storytime

These 30 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books and stories and also include music, puppet shows, and movement. Libraries Rock! And so do books and music this summer at the library. Our theme this week is "Let's Go to the Movies" featuring movie soundtracks.

This program is suggested for children ages 2-5, with a caregiver. Registration is not required.

Rockin' Readers Summer Storytime

These 30 minute programs are designed to promote language, listening, and reading skills by offering vocabulary development, experiences with a variety of literature, and participation in language-related activities. These programs will feature slightly longer books, music, puppet shows, and movement. Libraries Rock! And so do books and music this summer at the library. Summer STEAM Team

These hands-on programs will integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in fun and exciting ways! Lasting 45-60 minutes, these programs are ideal for budding scientists who want to try some experiments of their own. This program is for rising 3rd - 5th grade children. No registration required, but space is limited. Please arrive early for a ticket.

Diggery Digger's Dino Show With Sean Driscoll

While Paleontologist Diggery Diggers is showing his dinosaur fossils to a live audience, he discovers a “top secret” box the museum accidentally packed. Curious, Diggery opens the box and unleashes the DinoSauroScope 3000 or DINA taking the audience back into time to interact with dinosaurs. All is well until the dinosaurs in museums around the world start to come alive! Enjoy large interactive animated characters, dinosaur bones, a giant dinosaur egg and beautiful puppets. Combined with intriguing magic and rocking music, this is the Story Ship’s most memorable adventure! For All ages.

Join Michelle Wilson, Eldercare Attorney, as she explains who gets retirement benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA), especially how to get benefits if divorced or disabled, early retirement or when a spouse or parent dies.

Michelle Wilson has owned and operated her own estate planning and eldercare practice, Wilson Legal, for 10 years and has an office in downtown Cumming. She is a native of Forsyth County and a graduate of South Forsyth High School. Michelle loves helping people win and keep the peace of mind that comes from facing the fact that we all get old and planning to live the life they want to live for as long as they live.
