Books & Babies for Walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community.

This program is for babies up to 18 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 25-30 minutes.

One-Hit Wonders Summer Storytime

These 30 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books and stories and also include music, puppet shows, and movement. Libraries Rock! And so do books and music this summer at the library. Our theme this week is "Let's Go to the Movies" featuring movie soundtracks.

This program is suggested for children ages 2-5, with a caregiver. Registration is not required.

Rockin' Readers Summer Storytime

These 30 minute programs are designed to promote language, listening, and reading skills by offering vocabulary development, experiences with a variety of literature, and participation in language-related activities. These programs will feature slightly longer books, music, puppet shows, and movement. Libraries Rock! And so do books and music this summer at the library. Summer STEAM Team

Tween Scene @ The Post Road Library: Summer Sensations Tie Dye

Create tie dye items that you will want to wear all summer long. Instead of using messy dye, we will be using Sharpies to create the tie dye effect. Bring your friends and a clothing item made of 100% cotton, and we will supply the rest. This program is for tweens between the ages of 10-12 only. No registration required, but space is limited.

Bass fishing on Lake Lanier

Lake Sidney Lanier has world class bass fishing and there are two members of the bass family that live in the lake: Largemouth Bass and Spotted Bass. This species can be caught on Lake Lanier all year round. Veteran angler Ken Sturdivant will explain tips and tricks for catching more bass on your next fishing trip.
