Busy Builders

Let's build something together! Playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child's cognitive learning and social skills! Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we'll provide the rest!

This program is for children birth-5, with a caregiver. Drop-in anytime!

Hampstead Stage Company Presents: Treasure Island

In this exciting adaptation of Treasure Island, you’ll meet Long John Silver and his band of marauding pirates, and take an exciting journey across the seven seas. Throughout this swashbuckling tale, we teach the danger of greed and the importance of helping others.

This program is for children ages 5 & up. Registration is not required. Please arrive early to secure your spot.

Forsyth County Parks & Rec: Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements that yields a myriad of health benefits. A graceful form of exercise, it involves a series of slow movements performed in a focused manner, accompanied by deep breathing. Join an instructor from Forsyth County Parks and Recreation for this one-time sample class, and discover if Tai Chi is right for you!

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for exercise and movement. No registration required.

In a unique and exciting experience, children will explore the magic of the night sky. Learn about stars and the solar system before entering a portable planetarium to discover the mysteries of the universe. Witness the changes in the seasons, moon phases, identify various constellations, and learn about the mythology associated with the night sky.
This program is suggested for grades K-5. Registration is NOT required but space is limited inside the Starlab. Please arrive early for a ticket to the program.
