Forsyth Knits (and Spins) Together

Knitters and spinners of all skill levels are invited to come! Bring your needles, yarn, patterns, and questions and join in the fiber arts fun. The group meets on the first, third and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Storytime en Español!

Led by a native Spanish speaker, these 30 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books, songs, and rhymes in Spanish. Children will be introduced to Spanish vocabulary and culture while having fun exploring their developing literacy and language skills.
This program is suggested for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 18 months-5 years, with a caregiver. Advance registration is not required for this program.

Books & Babies for Pre-walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community. This program is for babies up to 18 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 20-30 minutes. No registration required.

Sharon Forks Summer Storytime: Bright Builders

Build a better world with stories! These 30 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books and stories and also include music, puppet shows, and movement.

Sharon Forks Summer Storytime: Amazing Architects

Build a better world with stories! These 30 minute programs are designed to promote language, listening, and reading skills by offering vocabulary development, experiences with a variety of literature, and participation in language-related activities. These programs will feature slightly longer books, music, puppet shows, and movement.

This program is suggested for children ages 4-8, with a caregiver. Advance registration is not required.

Sharon Forks Summer STEAM Team

These hands-on programs will integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in fun and exciting ways! Lasting 60 minutes, these programs are ideal for budding scientists who want to try some experiments of their own.

This program is suggested for rising 3rd-5th graders. Registration is recommended for this program as space is limited. Registration for June programs will open May 15. Registration for July programs will open June 15.

Summer STEAM Team

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math...your child can get it all at the library this summer! Join us for a very interactive experience each week where learning and fun collide! This program is designed specifically for rising third through fifth graders.

This week's theme: Build a Better… Body! Observe your heartrate before and after physical activity, make a craft stick arm that shows how bones and muscles work together. Make a breathing machine, a model of human blood cells, and explore why we have bones.

Coding for Kids

Programmer Adi Chinnatimma will host this special 4-week series teaching basic coding to kids. He utilizes the Tynker computing platform. Registered participants must attend all 4 programs as the instruction will build on previous lessons.
