Forsyth Knits (and Spins) Together

Knitters and spinners of all skill levels are invited to come! Bring your needles, yarn, patterns, and questions and join in the fiber arts fun. The group meets on the first, third and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Storytime en Español!

Led by a native Spanish speaker, these 30 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books, songs, and rhymes in Spanish. Children will be introduced to Spanish vocabulary and culture while having fun exploring their developing literacy and language skills.
This program is suggested for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 18 months-5 years, with a caregiver. Advance registration is not required for this program.

Books & Babies for Pre-walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community. This program is for babies up to 18 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 20-30 minutes. No registration required.

Summer STEAM Team

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math...your child can get it all at the library this summer! Join us for a very interactive experience each week where learning and fun collide! This program is designed specifically for rising third through fifth graders.

This week's theme: Build a Better... Beehive! After a special presentation by an apiarist from the Forsyth Bee Keepers Club, we will make bee houses, design bee hexagons using paper and tape, and try experiments with static electricity!

Paws to Read

For grades kindergarten and up. Paws to Read gives patrons of all ages an opportunity to read and relax with a certified therapy dog while improving literacy skills. Participants sign up at the door for 15-minute sessions. Advance registration is not required.

Build a better world and learn how to cook with a professional chef! Everyone will get to eat, too! Join Chef Carlin to learn how to make delicious, healthy, no bake recipes. Python Programming for Teens
