Busy Builders

Let's build something together! Playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child's cognitive learning and social skills! Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we'll provide the rest!

This program is for children birth-5, with a caregiver. Drop-in anytime!

Read, Build, Play

Read, Build, Play is an interactive story time that encourages development of early literacy in preschoolers. The program is designed for children ages 2-5, but all ages are welcome. Read, Build, Play is approximately 45 minutes long and includes stories, music, activities, and play time with a variety of blocks including Duplo Legos - all related to a creative theme. Advance registration is not required.

Sawnee Power Town

Don't get zapped! Electricity is a wonderful convenience for comfort and security but it can also present dangers to children. Sawnee EMC will be bringing their interactive Power Town experience to the library which teaches kids to be cautious of electricity and how to deal with special situations where electricity is involved. For elementary aged children. No registration required.

Calling all fans! Do you love Sherlock, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Supernatural, or Stranger Things? Come share and express your favorite fandoms by making one-of-a-kind buttons, dressing in your fandom best, and more!

This program is for tweens and teens, ages 10 and up. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Please arrive early to secure your place.

Bring your best Lego build ideas to our Masterminds Lego® Lounge each Friday this fall. We will offer creative challenges for your child to tackle using 100 pounds of traditional Lego® blocks, Duplo® blocks and giant building bricks! No registration required.
