Books & Babies for Pre-walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community. This program is for babies up to 18 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 20-30 minutes. No registration required.

Fiber Arts and Friends

Fiber arts includes knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, and any other activity that uses fiber or fabric. Bring your current project or simply grab your needles, yarn, hook, spinning wheel, and patterns to join in the fiber arts fun. This program is for adults.

Computers for Beginners: Basic Internet Search & Website Navigation

Are computers new to you? Learn how to conduct a basic Internet search on common search engines as well as basic tips on how to navigate websites. This class is perfect for beginners and people who want a refresher.

Youth Leadership Workshop With the Toastmasters

The ToastMasters organization is offering an eight week workshop for middle and high school students on leadership and public speaking. Participants will practice speaking and listening skills in a positive environment and receive coaching from experienced speakers. By the end of the eight week workshop, teens will be able to speak to groups or individuals with confidence and poise. The workshop will meet each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 for eight weeks, January 9 to February 27, 2019. Please register for the January 9 event in order to reserve your place for the full eight week program.

TAB - The Teen Advisory Board at The Post Road Library

Looking for a fun and easy way to earn volunteer hours? Want to help your community while meeting new people? Do you want to gain leadership experience and have a say in what happens at your library? The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is your answer! Teens are invited to join us at the library for monthly TAB meetings to discover more about upcoming volunteer opportunities. Teens will earn volunteer credit for attending meetings. No registration required. Please note: All new and former TAB members will need to complete a new TAB application and contract which are available to print from the library website. Teens must be present at a TAB meeting to submit their application. Print your new TAB applications and contracts from the library website and bring them, signed, to our first TAB meeting of the school year!

Genealogy with Jessie Whitaker: Intermediate Level

4-week series meets Wednesdays
January 23, 30, February 6 and 13
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Jessie Whitaker will expand on the basic genealogy skills from her previous classes using Family Search. This is a four-week series that builds on previous knowledge. Attendance at the previous class is not a prerequisite.
