September is National Preparedness Month!
When disaster strikes the community, Forsyth County Emergency Management activates the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which assists the community in the duration of the threat. Deputy Director Joey Smith will discuss the different aspects of the EOC, what roles they play in the community, what assistance they provide, and how they protect the citizens. He will also talk ways you can prepare for these disasters.
