About Andrew J. Bramlett
Andrew J. Bramlett is a local historian living in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is Vice President of the Kennesaw Historical Society and a member of the Historic Preservation Commission for the City of Kennesaw. Andrew is involved with the Kennesaw City Cemetery and a member of the Kennesaw Cemetery Foundation. He volunteers with the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department and volunteers at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, where he is tour guide on the shuttle bus to the top on the weekends. He is also the Social Media Administrator for the Friends of Kennesaw Mountain and the publicity coordinator for the Cobb County Genealogical Society.
In 2018 he won a Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council award for Local History Advocacy because of his work on presentations he gives about the history of the City of Kennesaw, Kennesaw Mountain, and his Kennesaw City Cemetery Walking Tour. Andrew was named the 2023 Honorary City Historian for the City of Kennesaw. He is also the archivist for the Save Acworth History Foundation.
