"A Performance Method: Breaking Ground" with author, percussionist, and storyteller Jerry G. White is an interactive one-man family show. The performance incorporates theater, music, percussion instruments, and singing. "Breaking Ground" is about Alex Johnson, a member of the famed 54th Massachusetts Infantry during the U.S. Civil War; Bass Reeves, a U.S. Federal Marshall; George Washington Carver, a Botanist and inventor; Lt. Commander General Benjamin O. Davis, a Tuskegee Airmen during WW II; and Satchel Paige, a Negro League Baseball Player, who all had to break ground to achieve their greatness.
