Kick off the start of the NASCAR racing season and celebrate its 75th anniversary at the library! Ed Clark from the Atlanta Motor Speedway will discuss the sport of stock car racing, its history, where it is now, and where it is headed. He will also share stories from his extensive career, from his start at the Bristol Motor Speedway to being president of the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

About Ed Clark
Ed Clark has been around motorsports nearly all his life. He began as the Public Relations Director at Bristol International Speedway, moved to the Nashville Raceway as its general manager, and later joined the Charlotte Motor Speedway public relations department in 1981. Clark was elevated to Public Relations Director and promoted to Vice President of Events in 1987. Clark was named General Manager of Atlanta Motor Speedway’s management team in August of 1992 and promoted to President in March of 1995. Ed Clark and his wife, Teresa, have a daughter, Nicki, and a son, Collin. Clark, whose interests include fishing, horticulture, and racing, and his family reside in Peachtree City, Georgia.
