About Dr. Heather Kleider-Offutt
Dr. Kleider-Offutt received a PhD. in 2001 in Cognitive Psychology from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Georgia State University, is Chair of the Cognitive Sciences program, and is an associate member of Georgia State University’s Neuroscience Institute. Since 2004, she has served as an advisor and expert witness for The Georgia Innocence Project and consults and testifies in criminal trials where eyewitness memory is a factor. Dr. Kleider-Offutt continues to receive grants and internal funding to further her research on episodic memory, with an emphasis on face recognition and eyewitness accuracy. She has published numerous journal articles and has given countless professional presentations in her field Dr. Kleider-Offutt is a Fellow of the Psychonomics Society and a member of Psychology and Law Society-Division 41 of the APA.
