Join us and Master Naturalist Michelle Murphy to celebrate and learn about Georgia's frogs! We will start with a presentation about frogs, and then take a weather-dependent walk outside to look for frogs in our unique bioswale environment.
Suitable for ages 16+.
About the presenter: Michele Murphy earned a B.S. degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Vermont. She has been a UGA extension volunteer for Forsyth county for the past ten years. Chairing the frog monitoring with the Forsyth County Master Naturalists has been one of her main interests. She is a chapter coordinator for the new FrogWatch group and a 4H volunteer for wildlife education. Our discussion will include general knowledge of frogs and toads, their importance to our environment, plus in depth information about our 14 frog species in our county.
