This book club is for children in grades K - 2. Join us to read a story, discuss it, and then do a craft or activity related to the book. This program takes place via FCPL's GoToWebinar platform, and registration is required. An activity bag to be used during the program will be reserved for all registrants and available for pick prior to the program.  You will receive an email when your bag is ready.

Explore your creative side in this picture book-inspired art program. Each month we will highlight a different book or illustrator and provide a Grab Bag with art supplies so you can join in the fun. Reserve a space early to take part. This program is designed for children in grades K-5. The Cre-ART-ivity programs are posted with unlisted videos on our YouTube channel. FCPL ONLINE STORYTIME

FCPL Online Storytime


FCPL's Online Storytimes are designed to promote language, listening, and pre-reading skills. Children and their caregivers will hear and participate in stories, singing, and movement activities. In addition, they will develop the skills needed to become successful readers. These programs take place weekly on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and are posted as unlisted videos on FCPL's YouTube channel where you can view them at your convenience.

Each month explore a different ancient civilization accompanied by a fun Activity Bag with supplies. Supplies are limited. Reserve a space early to take part. This program is designed for children in grades K-5.

Here's how it works:

First, register for the program.  If you have more than one child, please register each one separately.  Once registered, your activity bag will be sent to your requested branch and you will be notified that it is ready for pickup.  You may pick up your activity bag through Contact-free Curbside pickup or inside the branch.

Hindi Storytime: Online Storytime for Children and Families

Hindi Storytime: Online Storytime for Children and Families


This bilingual storytime is a fun language learning space for those who are new to the language as well as those who already know it. Learn basic Hindi words through fun activities and songs and books. Hindi Storytimes take place on the first Friday of every month on FCPL’s YouTube channel where you can view them at your convenience.

For Book Buzz, read a book of your choice based on the monthly theme and come prepared to tell us about it. Then, stick around for an additional enrichment activity! There is a different theme for each month. This program is for children in elementary through middle school and takes place live via FCPL's GoToWebinar platform.  Registration is required. Join us online for discussion and a STEAMy craft or activity related to the book. Please read the book ahead of time and register online to attend this virtual program and reserve your activity bag so you can do the experiments at home along with the live program. Activity bags can be picked up at your library branch. This program takes place via FCPL's Go To Webinar platform and registration is required. You will receive an email with login information prior to the program.

Get crafty with Tween Takeout! Register for the program, pick up your craft bag, follow the instructions to make a piece of artwork of your very own, then join us virtually to hang out with other crafters and talk about how it went!

Supplies are limited. Reserve a space early to take part. This program is designed for tweens grades 4-8.

Due to age restrictions, a signed permission slip is required in order to join the virtual hangout on GoToMeeting.

Virtual LEGO® Challenge

Virtual LEGO® Challenge


Do you like building with LEGOs? Are you up for a challenge? On the first Thursday of every month, look for a video on FCPL's Facebook Page with  details of that month's Lego Challenge. Don't have any LEGOs? No problem! Use any blocks or building materials that you have at home! Once you've made your creation, you can either take a picture of it and comment on the video, or come into the library and we can take your picture and post it so everyone can see your LEGO masterpiece. It may even be featured in the next Lego Club video! For kids in grades 2 and up. No registration required.
