Welcome to the endless wonder of world folklore with a collection of stories about books, wisdom, folly, reading, greed, kindness and more. Storyteller Barry Stewart Mann will share “The Brilliant Donkey” of Persian lore, “The Bag of Stories” from Cambodia, the Mexican giantess “Doña Flor,” the twisted logic of “The Right Kind of Mind” from the Jewish tradition, and the West African tale of “How Anansi Brought Stories to the World.”
All will be told with the help of adorable puppets, colorful props, inventive costumes, audience participation, and plenty of chances for volunteers to come up and take a role in the action.
All ages welcome.
