The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. This project is designed for everyone to participate and make a difference in pollinator conservation!
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is open to residents of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Protecting the Southeast's Pollinators One Count at a Time! Participants count the insects that land on a chosen pollinator plant for 15 minutes and put the insects into one of eight categories (carpenter bee, bumble bee, honeybee, small bee, wasp, fly, butterfly/moth, or other insects). Forsyth County Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with any questions about the census and there will be pollinator crafts for the kids.
