The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. This project is designed for everyone to participate and make a difference in pollinator conservation! Forsyth County Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with any questions about the census and there will be pollinator crafts for the kids.
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is open to residents of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Protecting the Southeast's Pollinators One Count at a Time! Participants count the insects that land on a chosen pollinator plant for 15 minutes and put the insects into one of eight categories (carpenter bee, bumble bee, honeybee, small bee, wasp, fly, butterfly/moth, or other insects). Please visit https://gsepc.org/ for more information on the census.
